Discover Zoubko's sculptures and the heart for Václav Havel.

The cellar was closed to the public for many years. After reconstruction in the 1970s, it was prepared as a security shelter for the civilian population and practically kept secret. It was opened to visitors only after social changes in the 1990s - first as part of a big happening, later the memorial institute placed an exhibition of suffering law here. The exhibition, which belonged rather to a medieval castle, did not meet with great visitor success, the humid environment also soon took its toll on the exhibited exhibits, so the sculptor Olbram Zoubek's offer to place his collection of sculptures in these attractive spaces was easily accepted. From April 12, 2014, the permanent exhibition of Olbram Zoubek's sculptures was supplemented by "Heart for Václav Havel". The arrangement of the exposition was designed by the architect Josef Pleskot. A unique range of Chateau Litomyšl wines also matures in the bottle in the climatically suitable environment of the castle cellar. The wines were produced by Moravian wineries in limited quantities only for this series. Visitors can thus combine a tour with a tasting.
