The pearl of the First Republic in the center of Prague for cultural and corporate events

The history of the Apollo Theater began in 1927, when the owners of the building, then called the Česká Crown Palace, had a theater hall added to the courtyard, which also housed a music café, where a cosmopolitan audience gathered. At that time, the theater was still called Máj.

From 1965, a then fledgling and later very famous group of artists called themselves the Apollo Theater started hosting guests here. Lyricist and screenwriter Jiří Štaidl was at the helm. Members of the group were singers Karel Gott, Karel Hála, Yvonne Přenosilová and Pavlína Filipovská.
