One of the oldest hotels in the Czech Republic.
Inquire venueMountain hotel Tanečnica belongs to the historically oldest mountain hotels in the Czech Republic. The hotel was officially opened for the first time in December 1926, and during its 97 years of existence, it has been visited by tens of thousands of guests, including many important personalities.
The hotel is located in one of the most famous tourist centers of the Beskydy Mountains, Pustevny, at an altitude of 1018 meters and directly adjacent to the national cultural monuments, the Libušín and Maměnka cottages, which were designed by the famous Slovak architect Dušan Samo Jurkovič. Chata Libušín succumbed to a tragic fire in 2014. With the help of public collections, the cottage was completely renovated using traditional historical craftsmanship and reopened to the public in 2020.
The most important guest of the hotel was the President of the Czechoslovak Republic TG Masaryk, who spent the night with his daughter Alice at Tanečnica on June 23, 1928
In spring, summer and autumn, the Tanečnica hotel is an excellent starting point for hiking and cycling. There are many popular tourist destinations in its vicinity. Even in winter, this locality is very popular with tourists, especially thanks to the stable snow cover and many tens of kilometers of groomed cross-country trails, on which both recreational cross-country skiers and high-performance sports skiers will come to their senses. Among other things, the hotel is located in the neighborhood of the Pustevna cross-country skiing area, the Valaška Trail, the area where the Ice Sculptures festival takes place every year, and many sledding and bobsleigh areas, not only for the little ones.
